Wellington Point State School has one administration block, ten teaching blocks, a multipurpose hall, extensive resource centre, a multi-purpose teaching block, a kitchen, several playgrounds, three amenities blocks, extensive grounds covering more than six hectares and large shady areas.
Library
All students are encouraged to borrow reading materials from the library during their class library time. Books borrowed are to be cared for and returned in good condition so that others may also benefit from the borrowing of those books.
Parents/carers will be sent an account for any lost or non-returned books. Average cost of books - $15.00.
Prep Year and Year 1 students may borrow one book at a time for a period of up to 2 weeks. Students must have a library bag with their name on it.
Year 2 and 3 students may borrow one book at a time for a period of up to two weeks. Students must have a library bag with their name on it.
Years 4, 5, and 6 students may borrow three books for a period of up to 2 weeks.
Books are returned to the 'Returns Box' in the library. If a book is damaged it must be returned to the student's class teacher.
Parents are also encouraged to borrow from the library’s 'Parent Section'. It contains helpful information on children’s growth and development.
